Tutoring Sessions
Missed Lessons
Missed Lessons
- If a lesson is missed, provided that notice was given 24 hours prior to the student’s class, a make-up lesson will be scheduled.
- If a student simply does not show up for a lesson without a 24-hour notice, no refund or credit will be given. A make-up lesson can be provided only at the discretion and availability of the teacher.
- In some cases, teachers may be absent due to emergencies, illness or other various reasons. Please be advised that if the teacher finds it necessary to cancel a lesson that is already paid, a lesson credit can be applied to your next unpaid lesson or a make-up lesson can be arranged. This same policy will be applied to lessons cancelled due to inclement weather or emergencies!
- Please be advised that if a student is to be absent for more than a month, the spot will not be held.
- If going on vacation, please let the teacher know at least 2 weeks in advance.
Rescheduling Lessons
- Rescheduling will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the student’s class. A make-up lesson can be arranged or the lesson can be credited to the next unpaid lesson. This is so that you do not lose your money. Furthermore, this is also in respect to the teacher’s timetable.
- What if there is a No Show? >> Classes will still be charged.
- If the teacher reschedules a lesson that is already paid, a lesson credit will be applied so that the lesson is not lost.
Payments
- Payments are due at the beginning & middle of each month, as I understand most people work with bi-weekly paychecks. This also will allow students to reserve a weekly lesson time. Lessons are scheduled monthly in order to reserve your spot.
- Payments are to be made within the first week of the scheduled sessions, as deposits will be made at the end of the first week of classes.
- Cash payments are accepted. **E-transfer is the best form of pre-payment for sessions as of right now.**
- Tuition payments are considered late if not received by the end of the first week of scheduled classes.
- The teacher reserves the right to discontinue a student’s lesson if there is an unpaid balance past the due date.
- There will be a $10 late fee for tuition payments that are received after the first week.
Vacation & Public Holidays
- In the case of vacations, monthly tuition may be adjusted with a MINIMUM of 2 weeks notice to the teacher.
- Public Holidays are treated as regular lesson days, unless cancelled by the teacher or parent/student in advance. Please consult and notify the teacher in regards to any special or religious holidays.
